REMINDER: I don’t offer last minute extra credit or deals to round up your grade. This is a good time to check Eschool for missing work.
ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
GROUP ACTIVITY (20):
- How did a small group of Spaniards conquer tens of millions of Incas, Aztecs and other native peoples?
- What does the Columbian Exchange teach us about the pros and cons of global trade?
GROUP ACTIVITY (20):
- Discuss the following--What did you have for lunch yesterday?
- Vote on which group member had the “best lunch”.
- Identify the 4 main ingredients that you’ve identified from that “best lunch.”
- Find where each of the four ingredients (plant, animal or animal product) originated in the world. In other words, where did humans first use it/domesticate it? Example-- goat cheese should be the approximate location where humans first domesticated goats. One student per ingredient.
- Use this source to start your research; you can look at other sources after glancing at this one first.
- Be ready to report your findings out to the class.
