Freedom House Map of the World (Is the country's government a dictatorship pretending to be a democracy? Find out the real story here.) If the country report isn't ready, Google earlier versions of the map.
ACLED: Maps, visuals and reports tracking armed conflict around the world.
Human Rights Watch
Global Peace Index: Start with the "COUNTRIES" tab at the top/middle of the home page. Click on "OTHER COUNTRIES" tab, then find your country. They have a lot about conflict, murder rates and other stats. Option 2: Open the 2018 report’s PDF. It’s searchable and there is a lot of useful information about conflicts, crime and other relevant issues.
